Travel trouble is brewing for Thanksgiving.
Traffic-snarling snow and ice are in the forecast from New England to Georgia for Wednesday—the busiest day of the holiday week on the roads, on the rails and in the skies.
AAA says 41 million Americans will travel for Thanksgiving, the most in seven years, and millions of them are in for a mess. In the Northeast, it could be strong enough to qualify as a Nor'easter.

The Weather Channel says the best chance for snow is north and west of Interstate 95 on Wednesday night, but forecasters caution that it's too early to say for sure and depends on the location and strength of a developing low-pressure system.
Winter storm watches are already posted for the Northeast for Wednesday and Thursday. The National Weather Service says the New York area could see 6 to 10 inches of snow.

But the band of tricky weather is much bigger than that. Snow is forecast for Wednesday from Maine down to the Washington suburbs, and ice from New Jersey south to the mountains of north Georgia.
Problems could pop up even for people getting a jump start on travel. The Weather Channel says strong wind could cause significant delays on Monday at airports from Denver to Boston. The Federal Aviation Administration warned in particular about delays and cancellations at LaGuardia in New York, at Reagan National in Washington and in Philadelphia.
