Lori Greiner knows how to be productive. She has created over 600 products, holds 112 U.S. and international patents and has been a part of eight seasons of ABC's "Shark Tank" as a judge and investor.

While early birds like Tim Cook (who wakes up at 3:45 a.m.) and Richard Branson (who wakes up at 5:00 a.m.) are getting started long before the sun rises, Greiner has a different strategy: She's just barely getting to sleep at that time.

"I go to bed at 1 or 2 a.m.," she tells Parade.

Here is what her day typically looks like.

Before bed, she exercises

"I get on the treadmill at midnight," she tells Parade. She's not alone in making the effort to work out. Billlionaires ranging from Oprah to Mark Zuckerberg credit exercise as a key element to success.

"I love it. I watch the shows I've recorded. It puts me to sleep," Greiner says. Her favorite shows include, "House of Cards," "Bloodline," "Empire" and "This Is Us."

She goes to bed late

"I love to go to bed at 2 a.m.," she explains to ABC News. "I'm a night owl. I get energized at night. I just love the night. It's quiet. I can think. I can do things or I can just enjoy myself."

She always eats breakfast

"I typically wake up around 9 a.m.," she tells ABC. "I'm not a morning person. I get up in the morning and have breakfast. I'm a believer in that."

Greiner sticks to a favorite. "I eat an egg-white omelet every morning," she tells Parade. "Usually with mushrooms and cheese." She may be on to something: Research has pointed to protein in the morning as key for a productive day.

Greiner also makes coffee and adds Swiss mocha flavoring to it. "It's ridiculous but good."

She answers emails

"I get inundated with hundreds of emails a day," she says to ABC. "If I'm not working on a show, speaking engagement, or traveling or whatever ... if I get to be in the office, my typical day would be looking at hundreds of emails that come in overnight. I do get buried in emails."

Fellow "Shark Tank" judge and entrepreneur Mark Cuban says he almost exclusively conducts business via email too. He carries two phones so he can have access to them at all times.

And she checks in with "Shark Tank"

"I'm helping entrepreneurs," she tells ABC. "I'm working with my team. I do the legal at the helm, contract negotiations, the creation of products. I help with packaging, often, for my entrepreneurs. I'm really busy."

Greiner tells Parade that her schedule shifts when the show is filming a new season.

Then, "I get up at 4 a.m. and go to bed at 11 or midnight," she says. "Those are long days."
