Newburgh defeated Houston-based Karbach Brewing's seasonal release, Yule Shoot Your Eye Out, 782 to 741. Founders Brewing prevailed over Deschutes Brewery's Fresh Squeezed by 791 to 751.

New York-based Newburgh has been on an impressive roll, posting some of the contest's largest vote totals in the early rounds against stiff competition in the East Region from Clown Shoes Beer, Cape May Brewing, Victory Brewing and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery.

On the other side of the bracket, Founders' label for its imperial black India pale ale has put up impressive numbers in the Central Region while finding ways to hold off competitors at Boulder Beer, Tallgrass Brewing, Odell Brewing and Uinta Brewing.

Voting in the championship round will end at 11 a.m. EDT Friday.

(CORRECTION: The name of the cow on the Newburgh label is Betsy.)
